North Glenrothes Community Council

 

Provisional minutes of meeting 10thApril 2008 as yet to be

adopted by the Community Council in April 2009

 

1.  Chairperson’s Remarks

 

     Mr Ron Page Chairperson presided and welcomed all present

      Ron thanked everyone for their support and help over the past

      year.

     Ron informed the meeting of the death of Jim Cummings, his

      funeral was held on the 10th April 2008. Jim had been a member of

     the Community Council and took an active part in most meetings; he

      was also involved with the Futures Group.

     Gilvenbank Park Play Area is near completion, picnic benches and

       rubbish bins still

      Having confirmed that there was a quorum present opened the  

       meeting at 19.30hrs. to be put in place. The natural play area has to

       settle before the large stones are put in place.

      Pitcoudie School to take part in the planting of shrubs, plants etc

       with the Rangers on the 24th April morning and afternoon sessions.

      The Gilvenbank Fun Day is now part of the Community Councils

       annual calendar.

      Newsletters have been printed and have been passed to the Scouts

      to be delivered.

       The Community Council is involved with the Futures Group,

      the Futures Group is looking for members to work in the following

       groups , anyone interested speak to Ron

        1. A92

       2. Town Centre

       3. Youth Group

      Two retail groups coming to Glenrothes in the future Asda and

      Sainsbury’s

       Thanks to the fund raisers e.g. Car Boot Sale, Ciswo Concert.

      More money required, also Bric a Brac required for the car boot sales

    The motion to move the 2007 A.G.M.  Minutes as being fair and

    accurate reflection was approved by the meeting.

                Finance newsletter: - News Letters have been printed and

                handed over to the Scouts for delivery

 

               Police and Safety: Nothing to report
