2. She then introduced  the speaker for the evening, Lorna Johnstone from Fife Council Environmental Services

4. Minutes of the last meeting were approved.

5. Matters Arising  - A letter has been sent to Environmental Services regarding the amount of litter around  the area at McDonalds; there has been no response. A general discussion on litter problems and how to solve them followed.

6. Correspondence: Various items were tabled.

A letter was received from Collydean After School Club requesting either a donation or gifts for the Christmas Party. The members were in agreement that we should donate something but agreed to raise this at the next meeting when the Chair and Treasurer would be present.

7. Reports: Treasurer: -

Main Account @ 14/09/2009   =   £45,320.00

Gilvenbank Account @ 14/08/2009 =  £10,884.61

Various bills are yet to be paid and Fife Council has now paid Funday funding of  £920.00 in full. Awaiting invoice for payout of labour costs.

Glenrothes Area Futures Group – Nothing to report.

8. Questions to councillor  -  The issue of car parking in Lismore Court and Rona Place was raised as there are not enough spaces for the numbers of cars. Trees are causing damage to property at Lismore Court and it was put to the Cllr to request that these be trimmed back.  The bushes at Rona Place and Taransay have not been cut back far enough and this makes vision for drivers difficult.

9. A.O.C.B – It was agreed that more members were likely to attend the CC forum at The Scottish Parliament in November if a minibus could be provided. This is to be put to Ron as a suggestion.

The members were asked if there were any objections to holding all meetings at Christ’s Kirk Church Hall in future due to various mix up with dates at Collydean. All members present were in agreement to hold all meetings at Christ’s Kirk .

Next Meeting – 7.00 pm Thursday 12th November in Collydean Neighbourhood Centre.
